Michelle Palmieri

Michelle Palmieri

Michelle Palmieri is the assistant to the chair handling the financial and administrative responsibilities for the department. She supervises the office staff and work-study students.

 

Bárbara Ávila-Shah

Bárbara Ávila-Shah

Bárbara Ávila-Shah is the Department's Language Coordinator with responsibility for training and supervision of teaching assistants, language curriculum, as well as placement and assessment. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Spanish and has a faculty profile page.

Susan Moskal

Susal Moskal

Susan Moskal is the department and graduate secretary. She communicates with and assists prospective graduate students with applications to the RLL programs and handles the administrative responsibilities for current RLL graduate students. She is also responsible for personnel and payroll transactions and paperwork for the entire RLL department. Previously Susan worked for University Residence Halls.

Amy Zeller

Amy Zeller

Amy Zeller is the departmental receptionist and undergraduate secretary. She takes care of applications to RLL's majors and minors programs, updates course descriptions and the undergraduate catalogue, and acts as a general resource for the undergraduate programs. Amy coordinates the travel arrangements for RLL faculty and visitors. In addition, she is the point person for many department events including the annual graduation reception in the spring and the welcome back picnic each fall.

The Work Study Students of RLL

The Work Study Students of RLL are an elite corps of talented and experienced student assistants. They answer questions over the phone, receive and direct visitors, help with photocopying and filing, deliver documents around campus, run the scanner, help with website updates and database entries, and cheerfully do other office work as the need arises. They have high standards for efficiency and courtesy, and they contribute enormously to the smooth functioning of the Department.
