RLL majors and minors are encouraged to study abroad through an approved program. The department runs both a summer program in Salamanca, Spain (in conjunction with Buffalo State College) and one in Argentina (contact Prof. Read, email@example.com). In the Department of Comparative Literature, there is a summer program in Mexico City (contact Prof. Johnson, firstname.lastname@example.org). For these and other UB programs abroad, see the Study Abroad Office listing. To explore programs throughout the year and around the globe offered by other SUNY institutions, visit the SUNY Study Abroad site and enter the country of your choice in the search box. The Office of Study Abroad, 210 Talbert Hall, also keeps information on many options. Read more about recent student study abroad experiences.
Before going on a study abroad program for major or minor credit, students should see an Academic Advisor in the appropriate language by making an appointment on the Calendly site, bringing their course information to get their selections approved. Upon their return, they will again make an appointment with an Academic Advisor, to get their courses articulated to count towards their major or minor.
